Nim Robins - Diploma Tutor Profile

Experience, skills and interests
Skills, technical expertise and areas of interest:

One of my main focuses for the past few years has been in developing permaculture design for children, re-imagining school grounds to facilitate nature connection, encourage wildlife and biodiversty, and to provide a great environment for permaculture education to take place. I also run a childrens permaculture group and run courses for those working with children in how to share permaculture with their little folk.
I balance this all out with also running courses and workshops for adults. I am hugely inspired by Jon Young and Coyote Mentoring and The Work that Reconnects by Joanna Macy.

I use the design process in all areas of my life, so have a great deal of experience in living through my designs, and especially of using the design web process, by Looby Macnamara. I also do a lot of social designing, for myself and others.
I design and maintain several websites and a blog, and can help apprentices that are struggling with building an online presence.

Areas of Permaculture Design Experience:

Children and adult permaculture education and teacher training
Designing and implementing spaces for children to enhance their permaculture education - in schools and private properties
Using design for life- decision making, relationships, business planning etc
Composting systems, composting toilets,
