WWOOFing

WWOOF stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. Volunteers offer their time and labour in exchange for food, accommodation and training on an organic farm or garden.

This may be for a weekend, a week or a much longer period. WWOOF has national organisations across the world and there are opportunities in over 130 countries worldwide, these can be found at wwoof.net. Conservation holidays are similar, but the volunteers pay something for being on the holiday.
