Hyde Park Source

Hyde Park Source is an environmental community organisation. We work with local residents, volunteers and young people. We reclaim and renovate derelict, disused and underused areas in Leeds, transforming them into highly visual gardens and creative play spaces for community use.

Since 1998 we have created over fifty community garden spaces and have provided on-site training for hundreds of volunteers and young people in basic construction, woodwork and design, planning and community arts.
We facilitate a sense of community through encouraging people's involvement in decision making and engaging people in improving their area whilst increasing their confidence, skills and employability.
Hyde Park Source has a long history of providing great volunteering opportunities for a wide range of people. Our work has been supported by volunteers since we began in 1998; we value this contribution and are committed to follow good practice and guidelines. We appreciate any commitment to the work of HP Source and value the time and energy our volunteers give to the organisation.
At Hyde Park Source we offer a supported volunteering environment, as well as help with progression into further training and employment.

We offer a range of projects that volunteers can get involved in. Our volunteers can gain experience working with community groups and young people while learning skills such as: food growing, basic construction and joinery, gardening, mosaicing and urban art.
