Common Vision California

Common Vision is a non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate awareness and respect for the Earth and to generate social and environmental changes towards sustainable lifestyles.

Our organization strives to meet this goal through four branches of focus: education, restoration of degraded lands, direct action, and documentation of associated projects of positive change. We integrate concepts of ecology with traditions, music, and arts of cultures that live or have lived in partnership and harmony with the Earth. We are a small nomadic community of graduates and students of agroecology, restoration ecology, and permaculture, that tour,in a renewable fuelpowered mbile resource center permaculture farms, organic farms, restoration projects, urban gardens, sustainable skills workshops, ethnic arts workshops, and festivals. Some of our other efforts for our tour are to make more contacts for our network ( which is a resource on the internet for people to find organic farms and other facets of sustainability to plug into. We are also creating a roadside fruit tree program. Using our network members and other interested parties, we will provide fruit trees and plant them on private/public land at no cost under the condition that anything harvested from these trees will never be sold. Instead the harvests will be freed up to the land owners, but more importantly to organic volunteer and common vision members. A final goal aside from our regular outreach is to establish a few urban community gardens. We are always looking for land, volunteers, and donations to help complete this important work.
