Bringing Communities Back Together funds

Bringing Communities Back Together
You may not agree with taking funds from supermarkets, but this funding exists, and if it seems appropriate, you could use it to do some good in your community

Asda Foundation
Phase 2 of the Asda Foundation's Bringing Communities Back Together fund is now open for applications. The fund will make grants of £500-£1,000 for:

Celebration Events: 'welcome back' parties or community celebrations
Getting Activities Back On Track: e.g. gardening clubs, sporting groups & recreational activities, lunch clubs
Essential Support: e.g. community food/hygiene banks, mental health awareness groups, homeless shelters

To be eligible, your organisation must be a UK-based not-for-profit and in proximity to an Asda store. You must also:

Have a presence in the local community and / or work to benefit that geographical area
Have the aim of bringing people back together as social distancing guidelines have eased
Ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity to become involved
Aim to provide the ‘core needs’ for your community

Applications will be accepted until 1st November and will be assessed on a rolling basis, with the aim of providing a funding decision within 6 weeks of application. Funded projects must be delivered between 1st October and 31st December 2021. For more information, and to apply, visit the Asda Foundation website.
