Leaving the European Union means we can expect huge changes in food and farming policy over the next few years. This consultation provides a really important opportunity for the Permaculture Association to add its distinctive approach to the debate on food, farming and the environment in the UK.

This June, PwC is delighted to be supporting Drivers for Change, bringing together 100 young leaders to take part in a unique 11-day immersive learning journey - the first of its kind in the UK! We'll visit 8 towns and cities across the UK and meet inspiring role models - entrepreneurs, activists, community organisers and artists - that are working to make their communities thrive.

Volunteer with The Lions Gate Project at Edinburgh Napier University Merchiston campus

The Lion’s Gate is a new permaculture project initiated and supported by the School of Computing and the Estates Department of Edinburgh Napier University at Merchiston campus. The project has been set up to explore how permaculture and digital interaction, can be blended in ways that foster reflection on human-kinds intrinsic connection to nature, and how this can be leveraged to produce well-being and ecological activism.

Location: mid Argyll - 10 minutes drive from local town, 2 hours from Glasgow, 1.5 miles from local village.

Donate land for ecological smallholdings

The Ecological Land Cooperative has launched a campaign to ask landowners for donations of small parcels of land to create clusters of affordable smallholdings for new entrants to ecological agriculture.

An organisation dedicated to helping new entrants into farming, the Ecological Land Cooperative (ELC) develops affordable, low impact, smallholdings protected for ecological agriculture in perpetuity.

And they need land to do this.

The Inkpot 3 month internship

Internship at The Inkpot, a 23 acre Permaculture Farm, LAND Centre in south Lincolnshire
We at the Inkpot are excited to offer a 3 month residential intern placement for Spring of 2018. We can offer an off grid living space, basic food and the opportunity to learn about the workings of a 23 acre permaculture system. You will get experience with livestock, the vegetable garden, and could get experience in a full range of traditional land skills, green building, course hosting, food growing, permaculture design, regenerative agriculture, off grid living, etc.
