Yorkshire Permaculture Gathering

Summary information

You are warmly invited to the first Yorkshire gathering of permaculture people and projects. Two days, down on the farm, to share ideas, showcase our projects and explore how we can grow the connections between us.

The gathering will be designed around what everyone can bring to it, and wants to talk about. Over the next couple of months, we’ll be asking Yorkshire permaculturalists for suggestions and offers. Our initial thinking is to divide the event into 4 main themes:

1. What’s going on – find out what's happening and/or showcase what you’re doing.

2. Permaculture introductions and practical skills – to introduce newcomers to permaculture and share practical skills and approaches.

3. Connecting and collaborating – exploring connections between us and the possibility to collaborate; from sharing information and expertise to large collaborative projects.

4. Working with others – many individuals and organisations are doing great work. Both the permaculture community and other sustainability focussed organisations could find plenty in common. This strand will help us explore our fertile edge!

And there will, of course, be a ceilidh on Saturday night!
