This is a unique opportunity to dip your toes into the world of Holistic Management and Planned Grazing, and explore it's potential to enhance farming/land management practice.

The day is suitable for farmers, advisors, and land managers, as well as those with a more general interest who are also concerned about issues such as animal health and welfare and how we can transition to more environmentally regenerative approaches to food production, how farming practices impact climate change and how we can work with nature to create more resilient landscapes e.g. addressing the issues of flooding (and soil loss), and drought - and enhance biodiversity.

Our guest presenters for this day bring bring with them a wide spectrum of experience and expertise, which will provide you with an introduction to several key aspects of regenerative pastoral systems, including:
- the 'how to' of planning grazing to regenerate the soil and productivity (conservation benefits thrown in for free!)
- incidental benefits (e.g. drought mitigation)
- what's going on in the soil and how that is impacted by and impacts on grazing management
- the benefits of raising livestock purely on pasture, for human and animal health and in marketing the produce

Our learning events generally attract a broad spectrum of experienced attendees, so we expect this to be an integrated learning experience drawing on experience and expertise from the participants too - and we hope that as usual the networking potential will be as valuable as the learning.

12 noon Dave Beecher on soils - introduction to soil micro-organisms, how they function and how farming and grazing in particular impacts them.
