Collaboration for Sustainability Training weekend

Summary information

Cydwiethio dros Gynaladwyedd - Collaboration for Sustainability - a training in sociocracy for permaculture groups in Wales.

Expand your comfort zone and fire up your brainstorming and facilitation skills at Permaculture Wales’ Winter Warmer weekend!

At this low cost, residential event, we will learn new tools for working together effectively; learn how sociocracy can make regional groups more dynamic and inclusive, unlocking people’s creativity. We will work on practical examples that will explore issues of central concern to Permaculture in Wales, while getting to know each other and enjoying the inspiring and cosy learning environment of Denmark Farm. There will be ample time to socialise and network with a shared-meal and film night with the local Lampeter members.

About the trainers:
Les Moore holds a Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design and specialises in urban regeneration. He facilitates both strategic and operational working circles of Sociocracy UK and delivers tasters in sociocracy at permaculture courses and events. He is a recognised expert in community currency development with over 20 years of experience. Les is the co-founder and managing director of UK social enterprises Common Resource Ltd and East London Food Access Ltd. He also facilitates, chairs and manages a portfolio of community projects.

Nathaniel Whitestone was the youngest co-founder of the Ecovillage Network of the Americas in 1996. Over the past twenty-two years he has run an ethical investment firm, advised coops and tech startups on four continents, worked as a life coach, and become the first resident of the British Isles to be a certified Sociocratic Consultant. He did the first half of his Permaculture Designers Certificate in 1997. He is still working on his practicum.
