Earth Share - skills event

Summary information

The Earth Share Skills Event held at the Karuna project in Shropshire on the 7th July was a great success!

There were various workshops and presentations during the day including a tour and presentation of the Karuna project by Janta Wheelhouse, a presentation by Wade Muggleton about his LAND Centre "Station Road Permaculture Garden", and a presentation by Julian Faulkner about Earth Bag Building.

A delicious vegetarian lunch was provided made with nutricious, organic produce grown on site. In the evening there was a lively social around the campfire where Olugbala Kokumo, the inspirational solo artist, musician and composer entertained the group with leading a session about inspiring and developing communication skills,

Some feedback from the event:

“I know that I am coming out of my shell to spread my wings and being with you and the folk assembled on your land has worked a wonder in that direction. My heart was singing to be in that kind of inspirational/learning energy."

“I have constructed a platform compost drop loo since getting back - I wanted to roll with the inspiration!”
