The Changemakers Weekend is designed to leave participants feeling empowered and resourced to share permaculture more widely. Organised as part of our Ambassadors project, the weekend offers skills sharing, training, inspiration and networking for young people 18-30 years old.
Arriving on the Friday, we will have a shared meal and get together at a local restaurant before the main learning day on the Saturday. After lunch on the Sunday, we'll be heading on a tour of nearby Firth Farm, which is run on permaculture principles.
The emphasis throughout the weekend will be on practical sessions and learning for those who are relatively new to permaculture. If you would like to build on your knowledge and have increased confidence in sharing skills more widely within your community, this is an ideal event for you.
This residential weekend is grant funded, with a nominal suggested donation of £15. All training, accommodation and most meals will be included for the duration of the weekend. There are also bursaries available to help towards travel costs - please just ask.
Places are strictly limited to a maximum of 20, so we advise applying early to avoid disappointment.
