Summary information

The day at Ouseburn Farm includes a chance to find out about the Co-op and its farms, local organisations who can help you 'tread lightly' and a tour of the farm. There is choice of four one-hour workshops. A vegetarian lunch will be provided and will include produce fresh from the farm.

Morning Workshop
- An Introduction to Bee-Keeping (British Bee-Keepers' Association)
- So you want to keep chickens? Covering: care and welfare, housing, feeding and health issues (Ouseburn Farm)

Afternoon Workshops
- Feast of Forage: a chance to explore the wild food which Ouseburn Valley has to offer and how to turn it into culinary delights (Liz Beech, FCFCG Fieldworker)
- In a pickle: Making jams and chutneys using garden gluts, recipes, working with the seasons (Ouseburn Farm)
