This is an article about the relationship between permaculture and science.

The article arose in the light of a blog post I wrote called 'Permaculture Design Course Syndrome' at http://smallfarmfuture.org.uk/?p=491, which generated a bit of interest. I was asked on the back of it by Permaculture Activist magazine to write an article - this article, in fact - about science & permaculture...but then they decided not to run it. Here it is, at any rate - I hope it might be of interest to some
