About the Job:

Taino Farms is a small tropical farm located just outside the surf town of Cabarete on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. This November we will be hosting our second, 72 hour Permaculture Design Course and are in need of an instructor who would function as a program developer and coordinator over the span of the course and associated programs.

The PDC course will be held this winter, ideally at the beginning. We would like have a Non-Violent Communication course as a starter to help develop a sense of understanding and community amongst the group.

At the completion of the course, we would like to offer a month long apprenticeship program to take students to the next level. You will act as the students’ mentor to solidify practices learned in the course and increase their skill development and understanding of permaculture concepts. The time here can be punctuated with surf or eco tours around Cabarete where participants can take a break from the intensive learning experience to relax at our beach-side adventure town of Cabarete.

Ideally, we are looking for a person or couple who would be able to be here for approximately two months. Accommodation and travel would be taken care of, as well as most meals. Your involvement in the program and ownership over its development and success will be rewarded, and you will be treated as one of the team.
