The Permaculture Association has an exciting new role for an Engagement Officer with experience in the practical work of building up a membership network; involving existing members, attracting new members or movement-building using creative approaches across multiple channels. You will be part of a small team of passionate people who are growing our network of changemakers, to build a flourishing membership. Working with the Membership and Communications Coordinator, the Education Lead and the Association’s wider staff team and network, this new role will ultimately engage thousands of people through the development and delivery of appealing, relevant and rewarding online forums, networking opportunities, events and courses in permaculture.
This role is a hands-on delivery role to support our engagement strategy and support the growth of a groundbreaking movement. Working closely with our members, partners and people from the diverse permaculture movement, you will be meeting new and inspiring people and helping to tell their stories.
As Engagement Officer you will work alongside the Membership and Communications Coordinator to identify key engagement opportunities and deliver high quality content via social, Permaculture Community Hub, email, web and online digital campfire events. As the Community Hub ambassador, you will have oversight of our new online forum (using the Mighty Networks platform) and support increasing engagement and the smooth running of the platform.
We are a small team with ambitious goals. So we are seeking someone who is conscientious and well-organised, able to be flexible, responsive and positive, and prepared to work hard.
