About the Job: 

We are looking for someone who is confident, outgoing and dynamic to animate the British Permaculture Educators' Network, and help it to reach its full potential.


We recommend that applicants review the report from the recent Teachers' Meeting to familiarise themselves with the background to this role.

PLEASE NOTE: the person specification in the job description (PDF file, below) was amended on 26/01/2017 to change the essential qualifications from "Degree level qualification" to "permaculture design certificate". Also, some experience criteria were moved from essential to desirable.



Job Purpose:

  • To promote permaculture education to the public

  • To improve access to permaculture education

  • To grow, animate & cohere the British Permaculture Educator Network. To:

    • help it to articulate a collective vision & mandate

    • help it to understand and meet its potential

    • be accountable to the network

  • Promote quality of course provision

  • To identify discrete education projects and secure funding for them


Hours: 14.8 per week (40% of full time)

Salary: £22,000 pro rata (£8,800 per annum)
