Course summary

An introductory level Permaculture Design course involving young people in climate action, increasing biodiversity , future food security and wellbeing through creating outline design ideas to develop this project as a Community Forest Peace Garden in central Canterbury.

Who: Young People 16 to 24
How: Interactive games, foraging, art, group work, nature awareness and design activities, Graffiti and Rapping, permaculture principles walk, talking stick, open space, art and craft and more. The weekend will develop the start of a permaculture design for the site.
About the site: Abbots Mill Community Peace Garden is a Peaceful Nature place in the centre of Canterbury. A triangle of woodland surrounded by two parts of the river Stour. All sorts of wildlife can be seen here. Vegan ethics on site.
