WEA Free/ Low Cost Course: Gardening Practical: Sowing and Growing 2

This one day course, at the inspiring Bosavern Community Farm, will give you the opportunity to enjoy the out of doors and explore natural farming. On this friendly and uplifting short course we will have our hands in the soil, practicing techniques in organic food growing and regenerative farming This welcoming course is open to all people with various abilities and levels of experience. A great opportunity to benefit from spending time in the out of doors, whilst pursuing your interest in nature and meeting others in your community. The day will be hosted at the award winning Bosavern Community Farm in St Just and facilitated by our experienced tutor 

During this short course you will have the chance to get a taste of community farming and Permaculture Design . This will include practical sessions in organic food growing such as making vegetable beds, seed sowing , harvesting seasonal vegetables .

There are many forthcoming courses planned at the Bosavern farm, for 2024 and you will have the chance to learn more about them, and to enrol with the WEA on any courses of your choice.

This is an outdoor based day, but we will have an contingency plan to work with nature under shelter, if the weather is too bad to remain outside ! Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle, appropriate clothes , including waterproofs if needed, and sturdy foot as we will be outside.

We will have regular breaks and plenty of time for lunch during the day
