This welcoming and friendly two day course is open to all- beginners or improvers . Together we will explore the significant role of trees in regenerating ecologies and we will be practicing sustainable permaculture techniques to grow organically and enhance local biodiversity. The course is fortunate to be hosted at the award winning Bosavern Community Farm in St Just and delivered by our experienced tutor.This course offers a great opportunity to benefit from spending time in the out of doors, whilst pursuing your interest in nature and being part of some positive action within your community The Caring for Plants and Trees is open to all people with various abilities and levels of experience This is a practical out of doors course, and we will be exploring ways of looking after organic vegetables, and techniques for ensuring trees are growing healthy and strong. The course will focus on ways we can increase biodiversity in our local ecologies and how we can grow food in a environmentally friendly way. We will explore techniques such as sapling care, mulching, seed care, no dig veg beds, natural fertilisers This is an out of door course, however in bad weather we will have a contingency plan and do some nature based activities under shelter. Hopefully we will mainly be out of doors. Please being appropriate clothing, sturdy foot wear, a packed lunch, water bottle and hat and sun screen if we are lucky enough to have a sunny day !
