Course summary

During this course we will work towards designing a sensory garden which is in keeping with the general style and themes at Flatford Mill: this includes a site survey, analysis of the information and design and presentation of the site.

Spend a creative couple of days working as part of a team to design the garden at Flatford Mill. The garden is currently under-used, and the FSC would like to set up a sustainable, wildlife-friendly garden at the back of the house with particular attention to providing sensory appeal to visitors, that also reflects the fascinating heritage of the site.

This course can be used as the basis for a case study for permaculture diploma students.

Marina O'Connell will lead the course. An apprentice will be invited to join the course for a learning experience and to lend assistance and skills to the group design work.
