Hands on tools for regenerative growing practices at the urban back garden scale

About this event

This course gives an overview of how regenerative farming practices can be applied at the urban garden scale. The benefits of these techniques include:

- improved soil health
- improved ecosystem health
- better water retention
- less erosion
- more carbon sequestered in the soil
...resulting in more nutrient dense food

Facilitator

This course is facilitated by Liz from Grow South Permaculture

Liz is a mother, sustainability professional, eco-retrofit project manager, gardener, and chartered civil engineer with a Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design and has been teaching introductory Permaculture courses for 6 years. She has a thriving urban permaculture garden with a mini orchard, pond, hugel beds and much more. She also has a passion for alternative forms of education for children.

What about Covid-19?

The majority of the course will be held outside, appropriate social distancing and cleaning measures as per government guidelines at the time will be implemented throughout the course. If the course cannot run due to lockdown restrictions participants will be offered a place on a future course when restrictions are lifted.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Morden tube station (Northern Line) is approx 10 min walk.

Phipps Bridge tram stop is approx 10 min walk

Parking is available in the National Trust car park (parking fees apply)
