Some practical will be done during the 12 days and we encourage participants to get involved in all aspects of community life at PRI Luganville and integrate with the local people, as they have so much they can teach us. Cost AUD1990 Early Bird, AUD 2150 Full Price Course summary The Permaculture Design Certificate is a 72 hour theoretical course based on Bill Mollison’s Designers Manual, teaching how we can use today’s tools and technology to create a more sustainable and equitable world for all species. Permaculture is more than just gardening, it is a sustainable lifestyle. Permaculture ethics are Earth Care, People Care and Return of Surplus and this is taught by showing students to focus on local resources and their local community, and to have well thought out design practices to create abundance sustainably. The course is held over 12 days for the theoretical part, with 3 days of hands on practical experience added to the end of the course, making this a 3 week commitment. The course will be taught by Tom Kendall, a lifelong farmer and agriculturalist, founder of the Permaculture Research Institute Sunshine Coast and the Permaculture Research Institute Luganville, Master Plan Site and Permaculture Design Consultant and Permaculture Systems guru. Co teaching will be the co-founders of the Permaculture Research Institute Luganville site, Daniele Bettini, Anne Blanc, Meriem Kadiri and Zaia Kendall. The course will have a translator who will translate the course into Bislama from English. Discussions and questions are encouraged.
