Preserving your produce: pickling, drying and storing

Summary information

Harvest time is a time to celebrate, but it can also be stressful if you don’t know how to preserve your produce. This workshop will teach how to safely preserve and store your produce and will focus on pickling, drying, storing, freezing, and will touch on fermentation, canning and using alcohol, sugar (as in jams) and oil. We will also cover equipment and organization. There will be a practical demonstration on how to pickle cucumbers with vinegar.
