Course summary

Learn how to use ethical design practices to make your growing space productive and resilient by working with nature. We will be looking at both the theory and practice of designing a plot including soil health, planting plans and materials, water use and harvesting and how to centre your design to meet the permaculture ethics of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Shares.
This is a two day course based in Leicester. Day 1 , we will be meeting at the Parish Centre in Evington and Day 2 , we will be travelling to a nearby site to put the Day 1 learning into a practical context. There will be an optional online evening design workshop for you to ask follow up questions and further explore the subject in the light of your own design ideas.
The Parish Centre is a fully accessible venue. We will be visiting either an allotment site or small holding on Day . Allotment site will be fully accessible. Smallholding has some rough terrain.

To maintain social distancing, places limited to 12 ( 3 concession places) . Evington Residents are given a £20 discount . Please email for the resident discount or to offer to pay forward for more concession places. Full investment £120 for the weekend including the optional evening workshop. £60 concession rate offered - no proof of income required but limited to 3 places.
