Course summary

Join us for our second Permaculture Design Course, here in the stunning beauty of the Duddon Valley in the Lake District National Park.

After the overwhelming success of our first PDC last year, taught by Australian John Champagne, the bar has been set extremely high. So who better to teach our second course than one of the UK's most experienced Permaculture educators and designers, Aranya Gardens.

Aranya's teaching domain usually prevails in the South of England and mainland Europe, so we are really pleased and excited to be able to bring his expertise to Northern England and the Scottish Borders. Join us for two weeks of life changing whole systems design, radical self-care and realistic exploration into resilient and responsive small and large scale land-based solutions.

We have organised a two week intensive PDC which we trust will challenge and inspire you. Aranya and guest teachers have built a curriculum to develop your knowledge and design skills to bring resilience and balance to land-based projects and businesses, social enterprises and community initiatives in areas as diverse as architecture, town planning, food production, agroforestry, rehabilitation and community tenureship.

We know a Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) is a big commitment but the benefits are manifold. This has been the experience of so many PDC graduates. The Permaculture principles are effective tools for the design and implementation of projects across a wide spectrum of society and environments. It is fair to say that a PDC is a life-changing event!
