Cost Full £375, Low Wage £275, Unwaged £145 Course summary An inspiring, informative exploration of the principles and practice of Permaculture Design. Learn a simple, commonsense approach to creating healthy, sustainable and productive systems. Course Content – Ethics, principles and design methods and how to apply them to organic growing, soil, building, energy, community, waste reduction, local economy and sustainable living. Practical how-to tutorials, inspiring case studies and participatory workshops and discussions. Course Structure 12 weekly Thursday evening sessions. Plus 3 days of field visits at weekends. Dates and details of the visits will be available to choose from before the course. Visits give you the opportunity to see Permaculture in action in a range of pioneering and innovative. Plus one Survey Skills Day and an optional Practical Skills Day. One weekend day on practical techniques of mapping and surveying the land.. You will be given dates with your course information. Learning Outcomes Understanding of the principles, ethics and practice of Permaculture Design. Experience of practical design solutions to apply to your own house and garden or community environment projects. Practical methods to minimise your ecological impact. Make links within your community and participate in positive changes.
