This two week course on the beautiful North Down coast is suitable for anyone working to improve their community, whether through the design of the environment, creating food, energy or transport solutions, policy and decision making or community organising, and will include close studies of ecology, geography, horticulture and green technologies, with examples of natural high production. Our hosts at Glencraig, Holywood are currently installing an ambitious biomass boiler and district heating system, and are keen to share their experience and knowledge.
Our teaching methods are enabling, so people learn and remember by experience and information sharing. There will be times of relaxation and recreational fun; the course promises to be a great working summer holiday.
The course is recognised as a contribution to your continued professional development, and participants will receive a Permaculture Design Certificate.
