ABOUT THE COURSE
Learn how to use plants and herbal remedies to improve your health and wellbeing on this highly practical one day course in the Hampshire South Downs. Spend a day with professional herbalist, Sarah Hillyer, learning how to identify and use medicinal herbs growing in our gardens and the wider countryside to detoxify and revitalise the body.
You will discover how to use all your senses to forage for and identify plants around The Sustainability Centre and learn how to dry herbs to make teas, make your own alcohol and glycerol-based tinctures, infused oils and salves. Sarah will also teach you knowledge of the body’s anatomy and physiology. You will be provided with herbal monographs about the herbs you explore as well as a comprehensive booklist. We will make a nettle and herb soup for lunch.
