Course summary

An introduction to leathercraft. Make beautiful items using vegetable-tanned recycled leather.
Start with making a simple coin purse to practice using basic techniques including cutting, marking, stitching, decorating and fastenings.

After this, you will have the opportunity to make a small item of your own design. Possibilities include purse, wallet, case for glasses/phone/mp3 player, book cover, tool sheath, water bottle holder… your imagination is the key! If you have an idea of what you’d like to make, please let me know so that I can ensure the right materials are available for you.

No previous experience needed and there is no minimum or maximum age for this workshop but participants need to be able to use scissors, craft knives and other sharp tools
