ABOUT THE COURSE
Learn how to make delicious preserves from foraged and home grown ingredients on this training course in the Hampshire South Downs. We will make a chutney and a fruit jam on the course and participants will be able to get hands-on with every stage of the process, including:

foraging for and preparing the ingredients
measuring out quantities and cooking up the preserves
checking the jam has reached setting point
sterilising and sealing jars of the finished products

Each participant will take a jar of each preserve made home with them, plus a helpful guide on preserve making. The course will finish with a jam and chutney tasting session.

THE COURSE WILL GIVE PARTICIPANTS

Option of buying a jam making kit.

WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?
No previous experience is required.

ABOUT THE TUTORS
Jill and Ian have been using local and seasonal produce to make delicious chutney, condiments and cordials for many years and are the founders of Veggie Patch. Their nettle cordial recently won the coveted taste award in the 2015 national 'Great Taste Award'. www.veggiepatchproduce.co.uk
