Introduction to Permaculture at Newquay Community Orchard, Cornwall

Introduction to Permaculture
Summary information

The purpose of this course is to give participants a ‘taster’ of what permaculture is, why we need it and how to do it, and is delivered at Newquay Community Orchard. It works as a stand-alone introduction, giving a few practical tools for those who want to immediately apply it, or as the basis for deeper engagement in the future for those who are considering taking a full design course.

It will take place over 2 half-days on the weekend of Saturday 7th - Sunday 8th July from 10.00am to 2.30 pm on both days, with a bring-and-share lunch on both days. The aim is to inform, inspire and have a lovely time with like-minded folks.

The teacher:
The course will be taught by Alice Gray, an experienced teacher, consultant and farmer who helps to run a community farm in North Wales as well as being active in international permaculture networks. You can read her profile on the Permaculture Association website here: https://www.permaculture.org.uk/educators/380/alice-educator-profile
