Fruit Tree Care and Pruning Course - 10 February 2018 at Whistlewood.
To book online: www.shop.whistlewoodcommon.org

Sarah Spencer (Diploma in Applied Permaculture Design) and Graham Truscott (Permaculture Design Certificate) will guide you through the practical aspects of fruit tree care and pruning.

We will also look at how to grow fruit trees using permaculture principles, to create healthy, integrated systems.

You will get a chance to get hands-on (supervised), pruning some of Whistlewood's 150 young fruit trees.  The morning session will take place at a local, more mature, orchard.  You will experience formative, maintenance and renovation pruning.

Please bring your own secateurs if you have them, but please sterilise them first to avoid transfer of disease.

Wear warm clothing as we will be outdoors all day.

Suitable for all abilities.
