Course summary

The course will cover basic forest ecology, the main species involved and the principles behind a successful forest garden. Even small areas can be productively planted to provide many crops for human use, habitats for wildlife and provide a buffer against climate change. Forest gardening mimics natural forest ecology to produce many different crops; nuts, berries, fruits, fungi, herbal medicines and timber.
