Empowered Communication // Nonviolent Communication Workshop

Summary information

An interactive, eye-opening and practical one day course in communication and creating positive change. Whether in your family and personal life, organisation, business or local community, or more widely on a global, systemic scale, the way you communicate and the conversation you have, shapes your world and the world we share.

Change can be good, but change can be scary. Sophie Docker, Nonviolent Communication and Restorative practices specialist, has developed this unique workshop where we will learn and practice skills where everyone’s needs are respected, where we can create change without making others wrong.

Using a toolkit of processes and communication techniques, Sophie will show us how to guide and lead the change, whether internal or external, with power and empathy; how to get the outcome we desire, with compassion and conviction, without giving up on what is important to us.

How we frame the challenges we face is fundamental to both the impact and experience we are likely to have. We will explore what is going on internally and within our relationships when we communicate, and learn to develop awareness that supports self-connection as well as deepening and enriching our relationships with others.
