Cost £40 Course summary If you are a beginner, this is an opportunity to learn about permaculture design by assisting an experienced design team in real time. No previous experience is required, you just need a fascination for novel approaches to creating the future. We have been asked to provide an outline design for the farmyard at Whitehouse Farm near Dunham Massey. The farm is part of the National Trust estate south of Manchester. Initially we will be working with the tenants as clients and aim to go through the first cycle of the design process over two Saturdays this springtime, ready for the growing season. In addition to the farm garden and orchard area, there is considerable scope for local craft business, on-site training and the beginnings of a local food economy. The event will be supported by an experienced team of permaculture designers led by Angus Soutar from the Northern School of Permaculture. Our aim is to work and to have fun at the same time. We always enjoy the company of newcomers and the different viewpoints that they bring.
