About Nicky Scott AKA Dr Compost Dr Compost is a specialist in food waste composting solutions and has set up many systems in Devon schools as well as National Trust properties, prisons and other institutions. He has been employed by local Authorities in promoting Home composting and gives talks and runs workshops. He helped develop various in vessel composting systems including the Ridan and the Scotty HotBox which is made in Devon and sells through www.proper-job.org. Dr Compost has also been advising and training Community Farms helping set up straightforward composting systems that can be understood and used by multiple users. He has a long background in organic growing, working with schools, community groups local authorities and businesses on changing our perception of waste and prefers the term resource. He is also the chair of Growing Devon Schools partnership connecting children and teachers with outdoor education.
