Course summary

Set on a well developed Permaculture smallholding in a wild valley in the sunny, western Algarve, this PDC will ground participants in Permaculture design skills and processes that are applicable all over the world, in all situations. The course is given extra colour by the Portuguese Permaculture systems and wildlife all around us, combined with Peter's experiences and stories from living and designing in both Temperate and Mediterranean climate zones.

We will explore key design tools and how they are used in soil improvement, water management, developing buildings and infrastructure, food growing, working with trees and plants, and the highly important personal and social/community landscapes underlying every Permaculture design.

There will be many information/inspiration sessions, and time for connecting with nature, visiting the beach, getting your hands into the soil, exploring personal edges, talking round the fire, learning and working in the gardens, sharing music, singing and making Permaculture designs for the Varzea and beyond.
Participants leave the course with the tools and skills to take Permaculture into their own life and make more regenerative, abundant and resilient designs for themselves and their communities.

Both camping and indoor accommodation is available at this delightful venue.
