This is a course for those who want to gain an appreciation of permaculture and how to apply it to designing sustainable gardens. It is an alternative offering to the longer more in-depth full 12 day Permaculture Design Course. Attendees will walk through the full design process by actually doing it on a real site at Flatford Mill. Willy Lott's Garden will be showcased, and there will be visits to Old Hall and The Apricot Centre to give a rounded perspective of different implementations of permaculture. The course will follow a pattern of mornings of theory and interactive exercises in the classroom, afternoons outdoors looking at permaculture implementations and designing a selected site at Flatford Mill, and evenings creating a design to be presented on the final day of the course.
