Course summary

Chloe Griffiths will facilitate a practical, “have a go” session on how to use apps and other digital resources to improve your wildlife identification skills in the field and at home. This brand new course gives you access to Chloe’s research in this area, and the benefit of her experience of using apps quite literally, “In the field”. Many of the apps and resources she will introduce you to are free, or inexpensive, and she will explain how to get the best from them. You can also discover how and where to send in your own records, doing your bit to help protect the wildlife in your area.

Come along to this course if you have always wondered what else your smart phone could do for you, or if you are a seasoned app-user and want to take your digital wildlife identification skills further. Chloe will also cover how to access help from a wealth of wildlife experts, and how to share your own knowledge if you are an expert!

To enable all participants to get the most out of the course, Chloe asks that you download her selection of free apps on to your smart phone or tablet before the course, and bring them with you. A list of these free apps will be circulated a few days before the course, to enable you to come to the session ready to go. If you do not have a smart phone or tablet, you are still welcome as there will be a couple of devices provided on the day.
