It equips you to care for the earth, yourself, and others in ways that are resilient, abundant, and rewarding. It's both life-changing and empowering, whatever your circumstances. Our annual residential course will take place at 3 amazing sites over 3 long weekends with design practice between each weekend. Our wonderful hosts offer a huge range of examples of and practical approaches to sustainable design. They are (in order): - Denmark Farm Conservation Centre, an early adopter of RegenAg and biodiversity 'wilding', described as a ‘notable nature reserve’ created from ‘a very barren place’; - Cae Mabon, described as the ‘number one natural building project in the UK’; and the - Centre for Alternative Technology, home of Zero Carbon Britain, and a renowned research centre with demonstrations of renewables, sustainable buildings, food production and more. The timetable will be designed to make the most of each venue and follows the approved Permaculture Association curriculum. Teaching will be carried out through a variety of classroom based and outdoor sessions, with a mix of theory and practice. The general approach will be participatory and experiential. Your tutors Angie and Alice have decades of experience in using permaculture thinking and applying it in practice in some very wide-ranging fields of activity – including Palestine, Kashmir & Uganda as well as the UK. They are well established teachers with experience of engaging diverse groups of adults in accessible and dynamic ways.
