This years National Diploma Gathering is now confirmed for Fri 29th November - 1st Dec 2013 and will be at Castleton Losehill YHA in the heart of the Peak District National Park.
Arrivals for the main event are on Friday evening from 4pm onwards. Dinner on Friday evening will be an option when booking. The main Diploma Gathering programme will take place from 9am Sat 30th - until 4pm on Sunday 1st.
Advance booking is essential.
There will be a diploma tutor CPD (continuous professional development) training day on Monday 2nd Dec from 9 - 5.30pm. Accommodation is available on Sunday evening for staff and tutors wanting to attend.
NOTE: We have already had several requests to accredit at the gathering: please contact the office if you want to be placed on the waiting list.
Getting there by Public Transport.
1. Train from Manchester Piccadilly or Sheffield to Hope (Derbyshire)
2. Walk down Station Road (signposted "exit") to the end to the T-junction with Hope Road. Go to the bus stop across the road.
3. Bus 272 towards Castleton; ask for YHA Castelton Losehill Hall (It is 6 stops, 5 minutes on the bus. The stop is immediately after the entrance to a caravan club camp site entrance on the right)
4. Get off the bus opposite the entrance to YHA drive (signpost is just after the bus stop).
5. Cross the road and walk up the (long) drive through wooded pasture to the hall.
