We are launching a new permaculture community photo project. Telling your stories through amazing images. And you become the stars of the story we tell.

The world of permaculture is complex, diverse, colourful, dynamic and creative. The backdrop to this amazing movement is equally polycultural: cityscapes and farms, wild places and housing estates, icy northern climates and humid equatorial zones.

The characters in our movement’s stories encompass all ethnicities, all species, all kingdoms whether they be animal, plant, fungi or bacteria...

Together we comprise millions of individuals working together to design and create harmonious habitats where humans and our natural companions can thrive together.

The Permaculture Association’s key roles are to educate and to connect people and what better way to do that than through beautiful images celebrating your lives, your work, your projects and your communities.

Using a flint to make a homemade cob pizza ovenOver time we will build a rich story of our shared endeavours covering all aspects of our crucial work and this October, in recognition of World Mental Health Day, we want to celebrate the power of meaningful manual labour.

It has long been recognised that a key factor in improving mental health is to participate in productive activities with our hands. Work that has meaning and integrity, that tests us physically and mentally and that, at the end of each day, we can understand the value of. And we know that the permaculture movement is jam packed full of examples: whether it be gardening or farming, working with animals, woodwork, crafts, green building, baking, repairing or sculpting. And that’s just scratching the surface!

If you would like to share your work, your story and your photos with the world then please start sending them to us now!
