Permaculture Wales

Permaculture Cymru launch and Welsh Convergence great success

Over 60 permaculture practitioners from across Wales, (with a few folk jumping the border too!) got together on the 14th May to help launch Permaculture Cymru, the Association's new network in Wales.

12 people decided to join the working group and have an incredible mix of skills and connections, so we have high hopes for the new network. They will be meeting soon to turn the proposal (see below) into an action plan for the year ahead. More details as soon as we have them.

Permaculture Cymru launch - booking information

We are inviting Permaculture practitioners in Wales to help us launch Permaculture Cymru, the Association's new network in Wales. Whether you are a member of the Permaculture Association, an ex-member, or an active Permaculture practitioner, we'd love to see you at Sych Pwll near Llandrinio, Powys on May 14th 2011.

It's a one-day event, but for anyone that is travelling from afar and needs to stay over, there is free camping on site for Friday and Saturday nights and a range of lovely nearby B&Bs.

We are asking for a £10 contribution from adult attendees, and this includes a lunchtime bowl of soup. Please bring food to share to turn a simple meal into a celebration feast. Other meals will also be available on a pay as you go basis.

After the official day programme, informal evening fun will be supplied by you and a local band that have offered to play, so for everyone that can, stay for the evening and get to know other people working in your network.

Children are very welcome, and we will supply an art activity tent, but we will not be able to supply child minding, so children will remain the responsibility of parents at all times. The site has a no dog policy.
