Dial House Compost Toilet Workshop DVD released by Spiralseed
Nick Fenton's film documenting the building of a compost toilet in the garden of former CRASS HQ Dial House is now available in DVD format;
For some 40 years the 16th Century farm cottage that is Dial House has been the base of operations for a number of cultural, artistic and political projects. These range from avant-garde jazz events to helping to found the free festival movement, from hosting Permaculture courses to setting up the Anarchist punk band CRASS.
‘Lifting the Lid of the Compost Toilet’, made by award winning film maker Nick Fenton, documents the building of a compost toilet at Dial House over two very hot days in July 2002. As well as providing a glimpse of the Dial House ethos at work, this is also a practical guide that can enable and empower anybody to turn the ‘problem’ of human waste into a valuable source of fertility.
NB. Includes strong language, incidental nudity and dubious puns.
Features Penny Rimbaud, Gee Vaucher, Graham Burnett and Ron Bates
