NORMAL WORKING HOURS Full time @ 37 hours week
JOB SUMMARY Growing with Grace is a community-owned cooperative and social enterprise, working to Quaker principles. We are Soil Association certified, stock-free, and have 2 acres of glasshouses for veg and fruit production, and a community green waste composting scheme. We sell our veg through our onsite shop, box scheme and wholesaling. We are situated on the A65 by the small village of Clapham in the Forest of Bowland (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), and on the border of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
KEY TASKS
- To have day-to-day and lead responsibility for planning and for growing organic food, stockfree and under 2 acres of glasshouse
- To be responsible for harvesting own crops, for supply to our shop, veg bag delivery round, markets, and wholesale customers
- To manage the wholesaling of our own crops
- To co-ordinate paid and volunteer staff working in the growing department, subject to seasonal variations
- To keep all necessary records relating to production, Soil Association inspections and any other quality standards
