Hours: Up to 80 hours per month
Location: Oxford
The Low Carbon Communities Network is a national network aimed at linking and supporting the rapidly growing movement of local and community level climate change groups. To take forward our work programme, we are seeking a person to provide professional administrative support, working with and providing coordination for the LCCN Management Committee Activities including subgroups on Development, Fundraising, and Policy and with gradually taking overall responsibility for the communications of the Network including web site updating and further development.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of the Network at this important time. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated to tackle the range of challenges arising from climate change and a strong belief in the power of community to bring about fundamental change. S/he will have some experience of web site maintenance, excellent communication skills with an ability to write engaging copy for a variety of audiences and strong interpersonal and networking skills.
This position will be based in Oxford at the offices of Climate Outreach and Information Network where the LCCN is currently being hosted.
