Grow Sheffield is now recruiting for the first phase of Community Growers Coordinators who will each lead a project in an area of Sheffield throughout 2012.

Working as part of a team the Community Growers Coordinator will drive the project by deciding on a focus for the area and planning a year long programme of events and activities.

The Community Growers Coordinator will work with local partners to access community groups, recruit and train volunteers and run workshops and events.

The Community Growers Coordinator may develop a specific communal growing space creating a focus for the project or deliver events at suitable venues across the area.

The Community Growers Coordinator must be a catalyst for change rather than creating projects that are reliant on their input. The projects are intended to be self-sustaining beyond 2012.

Salary: £12.50/ hour (approx 240 hours over 12 months, 1 year fixed term contract)
