Many projects needs additional financial resources to develop their work. On this page we will try to identify key funders and opportunities of interest to the international permaculture network. The Association supports a number of projects around the world by linking funders and donors. If you would like to donate to one of the projects, visit the international donations page.

Two useful websites are:

www.kiva.org "Kiva's mission is to connect people, through lending, for the sake of alleviating poverty. Kiva empowers individuals to lend to an entrepreneur across the globe. By combining microfinance with the internet, Kiva is creating a global community of people connected through lending." So far they have lent $171 million. Pretty impressive!

The other is www.betterplace.org which is a large online donation platform. "People, in need of support, meet others, who want to help. One to one. Direct. Worldwide."

For a different form of financial support have a look at:

Accounting for International Development (AFiD)

AFiD "Offers experienced finance professionals the opportunity to use their skills to make a genuine difference as overseas volunteers and gain unforgettable hands-on international development experience." Projects in developing countries can sign up and get tailored financial capacity building support. See www.afid.org.uk
