A fantastic opportunity to learn how to graft apple and pear trees and take home the ones you have made.
The day will be very hands on and will cover:

- why grafting is needed to produce apple trees
- the tools and materials needed
- how to make a successful graft
- choosing the varieties you like and that work well together
- looking after your trees
We will have a wide range of heritage and local varieties available to choose from. Grandpa Buxton, Lord Derby, Lady Henniker, Laxton Fortune, Fillingham Pippin, Yorkshire Aromatic and Nancy Jackson to name but a few!

7acre permaculture smallholding, in the beautiful Colne Valley, West of Hudderfield. We have a teaching space and venue in the renovated Cowshed, and other teaching/activity areas, demonstration growing plots, forest garden, chicken tractor, tree nursery.
