Permaculture Design Certificate Course

Join us for another PDC at Quinta do Vale da Lama!

This PDC is a 12-day residential course.

You'll be camping in "Campo do Vale", a space for running events at Quinta do Vale da Lama. You will enjoy the lovely landscape near the river and estuary, with classroom indoor and outdoors, kitchen, toilets and showers.

Some of the things you will learn include:

● Learn strategies to improve the way we collect, process and review information;
● Antecipate and identify challenges, and find solution within nature, you and your community;
● Adapting your actions to proper scale and needs;
● Increase productivity using intensive garden design strategies including: stacking, soil- building, mulch, nutrient cycling, pest control, green manures, worms, compost & companion planting;
● Read weather patterns, create and enhance micro-climates and use design strategies for all major global climatic zones;
● Save money on energy bills with efficient home design, retrofit and renewable energy systems.
● Learn how to weave and integrate these concepts (and much more) together in a permaculture design.
